Cannot drag and drop files from windows to Evernote 10

For some reason, I get a red circle with line through it when I try to drag and drop a file into evernote 10 desktop from windows file explorer.  I also have multiple instances of evernote launching in my task manager which seems very odd.

Evernote, like many other applications, can launch multiple processes. I currently have nine Evernote processes running.  Google Drive has seven processes and my Firefox web browser currently has 16.  So nothing unusual with that.

You'll have to show us the actual symbol that you have.  What are you attempting drag and drop into a note? What file size does it have?

...And try dropping it to your desktop first,  then drag from there to Evernote.  Seems like a Windows thing.
