Fredda123 21
Make it possible to adjust the sidebar and notelist wider so it's actually possible to see the whole title of notebook and note. As it says. This was possible since the first version of Evernote I ever used like 2007. I can't se the full notebook title, nor the date created and note title for example Link to comment

0 Fredda123 21
None of your business, it's just a simple feature. I got a few notes and notebooks so I need to have longer titles. I'm quite of a power user so don't try to tell me I don't know how to use Evernote. Link to comment
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 8,317 Posted September 30, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted September 30, 2023 Oh, use it as you like. I placed a simple question, you answer with plain aggression. „42 characters“ would have been an answer as well (OK, 42 is the final answer to all questions, so why do I ask …). And no, I doubt you are a „power user“, because that breed usually is more reflected and less self imposing. Farewell. Link to comment
0 Fredda123 21
I've seen you're pretty much answering on all posts where there is a need that it's not relevant. Anyhow, would you know why this simple functions is not implemented? It's just choosing the width of the sidebar, what is the limitation here? 1 Link to comment
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 8,317 Posted September 30, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted September 30, 2023 Actually on my Mac desktop client I can adjust the leftmost panel, even while I don’t need it. It even remembers how wide it has been when I last quitted the app. So the question why it’s not possible is futile, because you can, even if it may not be wide enough. Hence the simple question about how wide is wide enough. Personally I keep my notebook names (and tags) pretty short - one of these power user tricks, y‘ know. Link to comment
0 Fredda123 21
haha, whats the point tbh. In your mind you're always right so don't bother. I suggested wider than current. Link to comment
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 8,317 Posted October 1, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted October 1, 2023 Then suggest it. I really don’t care, I‘m fine as it is, using it since 3 years and never had a desire to expand it. Maybe (that’s a big maybe) you can convince anybody to invest into changing the app to accommodate your request. It’s a feature request I don’t remember to have seen in the years since v10 exists. This doesn’t say you may not need it, just that the group that will benefit from such a change is marginal. Link to comment

In the Evernote Windows app on a laptop, I can draw the sidebar out far enough to get over 40 characters of a notebook title. Not saying that should be enough, just saying that's what I see. WRT date created and note title, I generally use snippets view, and there again with the Notes List fully expanded I get around 40 characters of the title visible. Other views might have less, though. I'm just trying to figure out the request. Link to comment
