Previous Note attachment now appears as an "Untitled Attachment" that can't be opened...and I can't seem to get it back!

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I previously added a pdf attachment to one of my notes and have been editing and annotating it for the last few days. I just opened my note to continue working through the attachment but it no longer appears within the note as it had the last few days. Now, it appears as an "Untitled Attachment" and I'm unable to view it, open it, download it, or edit/annotate it. This is true no matter which Mac device I'm using and regardless of whether I try to access it from my browser or from the Evernote app. It seems that all of my work has been lost. Please help! I'm not sure 1) why my pdf is suddenly unavailable or 2) how to restore my work

Hi.  There have been intermittent reports here of something similar.  The file name seems to restore itself,  but you could try renaming the file to give it a PDF extension so that it will be editable again...

Someone experiencing this issue is going to have to report it to Support to get Evernote looking into it - we're mostly other users here and this only seems to be happening with a small number of users.  There are already new desktop and mobile updates,  so make sure you're on the latest versions (10.62.3 and 10.55) and if this persists - contact Support.

What worked for me: Open the first note, wait a little to make it load. Then switch to another note, and back. The attachments now opened and showed properly.

I tried this but sadly the untitled attachments (which cannot be opened or edited) still don't refresh after going back and forth!
