Boot17 1,466
Anybody else notice this? The text/font in the size bar is lighter / less bold than it was before. This is what it looks like today in 10.61.7 on Desktop (MacOS) and Web. I suspect Windows looks the same. And here is a screenshot from several months ago, but I believe it looked like this as early as last week too: It looks like the text is not as bold and perhaps not as white in the latest version. I preferred the old way better, but I suppose I'll get used to the new way anyway. Just wondering if anybody else noticed this too. Link to comment
Level 5* s2sailor 2,227 Posted September 11, 2023 Level 5* Share Posted September 11, 2023 I haven't noticed a difference. It is hard to tell, but I don't think mine looks as light as yours. Link to comment
Level 5* s2sailor 2,227 Posted September 11, 2023 Level 5* Share Posted September 11, 2023 However, after I posted this, it appears that new web clips were being added to my shortcuts. A close and reopening of Evernote did fit it. I've seen this a couple of times now. Maybe something new in 10.61.7? 1 Link to comment
Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 3,971 Posted September 11, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted September 11, 2023 I don't have an older screenshot to compare, but the font in my 10.61.7 Windows app does look like your newer one, i.e., somewhat lighter/thinner type. I don't find it to be an issue myself. 2 Link to comment
Boot17 1,466
I know that probably nobody notices or even cares about this, but I still wanted to put it out there. Within the last release or two, Evernote has now lightened the default color and weight of the text in the note. Here is what the text used to look like in the note at least a few releases ago: And now here is what it looks like in 10.67.4: I thought they were looking to improve the UI, but I really think that lightening the text (first the side bar and now in the note) is a worsening of the UI and washes out the content making it harder to read. I'll submit feedback to Evernote for what it's worth... Link to comment

Let's hope they're just experimenting with font weights and colours ahead of getting it right with the incoming UI... Link to comment
