Almost out of storage space error msg.

I keep getting this error message (see below) which is happening recently and isn't true. I have 11+GB left on my Mac's hard drive. Also I can't find anywhere to make room or choose new location for data.

11GB is way too low, BTW. On a Mac 30GB is already regarded as low, 50GB and above should be OK.

Running the SSD with little free memory creates additional wear of the SSD, because the controller can’t balance the use of memory cells.

For your own good, free up some space on your Mac.
