Drag and Drop for Mac to other Mac Apps

I'm not able to drag and drop files in an Evernote Note to another application, like Superhuman (my mail client). 

Is there an frictionless, intuitive way to do this?

The most reliable route is to drag and drop into a directory such as the desktop and then from the directory into the destination program.

This is a long standing issue.

Such a bummer! Was hoping it would be intuitive and frictionless.

That extra step always adds about 15-20 seconds, because I forget that I have to take extra steps. Then fumble through windows to get it to work. =(

Do you know if it's on their roadmap to try to fix?  It would make more people wanna stay with Evernote if it was as easy and intuitive as something like Notion!

The Mac is not Windows: On my Mac drag & drop of content works without a problem. Tried with pdf, image, audio, xlsx table - to Apple Mail it worked all, to Pages those formats that are supported. On audio even came a notification from pages that to make it work on iOS, I need to convert it (= the receiving app correctly detected the file format on drop).

If it doesn’t work on your Mac, check the security and privacy settings.
