Getting Evernote to start minimized

I believe I posted this question before, but cannot locate it or its answer, so....

I am trying to get Evernote (10.56.9-win-ddl-public (4080) to start on system startup, but NOT open, just to the tray.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that did not help.

I have tried modifying the startup to a simple icon set to minimized in the startup folder, but that didn't work either.

Is there no way to have Evernote start on system startup, but not open, just go to the (Windows 10) tray?  I am fairly sure the earlier versions were able to do so.

This isn't possible with the v10 app running in the Electron framework.
