Quatele 8
Every time I add an IP address or domain name in a note, Evernote automatically makes it into a hyperlink like "http://+ IP or domain" after I hit return or space. If I actually have "http://" or https://" at the beginning of the string, this behavior could possibly be useful. But, assuming every IP address in my note is a web server is annoying and counter productive. Almost every IP address on the Internet and any internal network is NOT a web server. How to turn off this frustrating behavior? Link to comment
Mike P 2,980
Would formatting it as inline code help? Just enclose the IP address with back ticks. 2 Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,819 Posted April 21, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted April 21, 2023 There is difference between the settings on mobile and desktop. Since you decided to post in general discussions: There is no general advise on this. Check in Settings, Notes to see which options are available in your client. Control on mobile is better than on desktop. 1 Link to comment
Quatele 8
Mike P, That's a helpful workaround that I haven't thought about. I'll give that a try. Thanks. 1 Link to comment

I didn't promise it was perfect, the OP asked for a solution to an issue and I provided an option, it's also pretty clear if a link has been added in error and just as easy to unlink again. User error can ***** up lots of things across lots of applications. 1 Link to comment
