EvErNoTe__user 4
Hi everyone, If I want to switch to Professional subscription from Personal subscription, will I be charged in full or will the amount be deducted from Personal subscription? Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,863 Posted January 12, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted January 12, 2023 The full amount will be charged first. Then, after it is booked, you receive a "pro rata" reimbursement for the unused time of the old subscription. This usually takes a few days. It is booked to the same payment tool used for the first payment. Link to comment
Jon/t 1,669
If may differ depending how you pay but I did went from Personal monthly to Professional monthly a few months ago and was charge a pro-rata price of £1.12 until the end of monthly subscription term. Then it was the full price for Professional. Maybe slightly different process for annual payments. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,863 Posted January 12, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted January 12, 2023 It is the same, but on a yearly base. I think they even use the exact number of days left 'til the next payment to calculate the reimbursement. What is important is that the payment tool used for the payment back then is still active, like a credit card. It can be renewed (new date), but it must have the same number. Same is true with other payment methods. If not, support should be involved. Link to comment
EvErNoTe__user 4
That is, if on 27.12.22 I purchased a Personal subscription for $16 (annual) and now I want to change it to Professional for $23, I will be charged the entire amount - $23, and then the difference of $16 will be returned to the card? Level 5 PinkElephant 8,863 Posted January 12, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted January 12, 2023 That's the idea - however I am not sure about the handling of 1st year rebates. You can contact support about it. 1 Link to comment
