Select single PDF edits / erase PDF annotations

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone

I'm trying to figure out how to best edit my PDF slides. I write on them and I cannot figure out how to delete what I wrote. As far as I can see there is no erase function such as with the sketches. This is unfortunate, since now I can only go back one step or delete all annotations, but I would like to know how I can select specific lines and sections and only delete those. Is there such a function?

Hi.  No.  Obvious work-around - make a duplicate copy of the note (or the file) before you start and have both the annotated and unannotated versions side by side.

The EN pdf annotation is a basic (and rather old) tool. If you want better control, use an external tool.

Important with pdf is a distinction when saving: You can save editable, or you can „burn“ the annotations into the saved file, protecting them against further changes.

Make sure to use the right mode for your use case.
