Evernote Web brief temporary outage

I just found I couldn't connect to the Evernote Web client, and found this on https://status.evernote.com:

EN is keeping more than 1 copy of each users data, and they keep it in different data centers. Usually an automatic routing will make each user work on the datacenter closest (in networking terms) to his point of internet entry.

They alternate maintenance, what means that usually there is another data center to serve user requests if the one closest is taken off the grid. In effect you practically always get at your data, but it may be the reaction time is significantly longer than usual when the alternate has kicked in.

The status website will tell.

Thanks for the information. That's helpful to know. At that time, I simply got spinning circles and a time-out when trying to access the Web client; but as expected it did clear up in a short time.
