Zoom gesture does not work in PDF annotation mode on the iPad

(This bug was discussed in length in the Requests section of the forum, but I think it is worth having its own topic in the Issues section as well.)

The two-finger gesture to zoom in and out within the annotation mode of a PDF document works as expected in Evernote on iOS (iPhone) and in Evernote on Android. It does NOT work in Evernote on iPadOS (iPad). Just a plain and simple bug that should be easy to fix.

Something that works on one device running iOS but not another,  might not be that easy to pin down.  And the time taken to fix a bug is usually split 98% finding 2% coding!

Well, the bug exists since the release of v10, so two years should be enough to find it. And as we found out (see the thread in the Request section) it actually works on the iPad as soon as the screen size is reduced to the size of an iPhone. So the cause of the bug is already narrowed down. IF Evernote would treat this as a bug and not as a request for a new feature, it should be possible to locate it and to fix it. But they don't.

Yes, this is clearly a bug, and as you said, it only appears on large screen devices like iPads. On the iPhone everything works with zooming - but annotation on that device is a PITA.

Someone in the other thread said it even works on Android tablets, so it is just large screen devices with iOS/iPadOS - iPads.

I am still having this issue as of August 28th, 2022. A bit disappointed this has not been fixed!
