Symbols beside the bullet points

Hi, my Evernote app suddenly started showing the †symbols beside the bullet points. Is there a fix to this?

You may try this

1. Go to File > Sign Out [name] from the menu bar.
2. Select the "Remove my Evernote data from this device" option, then click Sign out.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Sign back in to Evernote

If it does not solve the problem, ask support.

I used the above solution (logged out then logged back in again).

I did not delete my content from the device though, since that seems risky.

This worked.  I now have proper bullet points back.

Thanks @deano7000. Good to know that removing data isn't essential. You'll be pleased to know, however, that that stage isn't risky. It actually exists to provide additional security but also a means of fixing some days corruption issues. When you log back in your data is rebuilt afresh
