0 Level 5 PinkElephant 8,799 Posted August 18, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 18, 2021 Apple script is not working with the v10 client. However you can install and use the legacy client. It allows scripting and sends the data to the same server from which v10 is running. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote Link to comment

A sample Applescript is posted here As per @PinkElephant, Applescript is only supported with the Evernote Legacy product 1 Link to comment
0 Mark Levison 15
Is there any way outside of Applescript that the v10 client supports for getting PDFs into Evernote? FWIW this is another nail in the evernote coffin for me. Link to comment

You're hijacking an Apple Notes discussion It seems an easy process to "get pdfs into Evernote" Drag and drop into a note, or onto the Evernote icon on the desktop or import folder Link to comment
0 Mark Levison 15
Yes and I'm trying to automate this with applescript. Now I'm falling back to KeyBoard Maestro. Link to comment
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 8,799 Posted August 27, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 27, 2021 The solution is posted above: Install the legacy client, it allows for scripting. There are even ready made scripts that you can adapt. Once you had imported anything, you can skip legacy again - or you keep it as a backup for the few jobs that still run better on legacy. 0 Mark Levison 15
Hmm can the legacy client live side by side with v10? This isn't backup but my way importing recipes from PDFs with automation. Link to comment
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 8,799 Posted August 29, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 29, 2021 Both clients can be installed and used side by side. Just don’t have the same Note open on both at the same time. V10 should be installed first. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote Link to comment
