bwydoogh 71
Using the following search query: (todo:false) OR (contains:taskNotCompleted) returns a note (just an example; other similar notes are also part of the search result) - see attached screenshot - with a completed task. Searching for (contains:taskNotCompleted) does NOT (= OK) return the note. Searching for (todo:false) does NOT (= OK) return the note. So what is going on with that "new" BOOLEAN OR search? Notice that I am on the professional plan (so boolean searches should work). Link to comment

True, I am on the professional plan (in fact ... it was one of the reasons why I switched from Personal to Professional). 1 Link to comment
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 8,819 Posted August 10, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 10, 2021 Just wild guessing: Try not to use the brackets if not needed for a more complex search, like the first one. The strings left are plain EN search syntax. Link to comment

I obviously tested it before posting and it works fine for me. If both Boolean and tradtional search doesn't work there is obviously a problem specific to your account. I would certainly raise a support ticket. Your screen shot looks like Windows V10 so I would also try it on the web version for comparison. Link to comment

I am on macOS; tried web client and encountered same issue. 1 Link to comment

It seems like there is an issue with some older notes. 1 1 Link to comment

Using the following search query:
(todo:false) OR (contains:taskNotCompleted)
returns a note (just an example; other similar notes are also part of the search result) - see attached screenshot - with a completed task.
Searching for
(contains:taskNotCompleted)
does NOT (= OK) return the note.
Searching for
(todo:false)
does NOT (= OK) return the note.
So what is going on with that "new" BOOLEAN OR search?
Notice that I am on the professional plan (so boolean searches should work).
