Deborah Martin 1
I'm running Evernote 10.178 app on Windows 10. I have an Evernote Personal account. I've been using Tasks successfully, but in the last few days when I try to create a new task I get this error message "Failed to create task". I'm getting it on both the app and the website. I have plenty of storage space. I've signed out of Evernote, restarted the computer, and signed in again. What else can I try? Link to comment

Deborah Martin 1
Thanks, Gazumped. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Evernote app, but problem persists. I will take your advice and report the issue to Evernote. Link to comment

GaryLia 0
Running EN v10.18.3 on Mac OS 11.5.1 and having the same issue (with the web version on Windows 10 also). Tried PinkElephant's suggestion to no avail. Just FYI. Back to my paper task list. Link to comment
Deborah Martin 1
I raised a ticket with Evernote, they responded very quickly, here's the response: 'I'm writing to let you know our developers have found the root cause and they're currently working on a fix for the issue you reported. While the version with the fix is not released, a workaround is to make an edit to the note where you're creating the task. It looks like this will "break" what is triggering the error message and resolve the issue temporarily.' I had been creating tasks directly from Tasks, now I'm inserting them into Notes, and that is working fine for me 1 Link to comment
