Remove "add new task"

Is there a way to remove the add new task option?  Kinda clutters the task view.

Currently not, but as you say it multiplies the segments on display worst case by 2 - which means reducing the active content by 50%.

I had no intention of using Tasks. So yes, I'd like that removed. But somehow I must have clicked something without knowing it, because now I have 1 task on the list. I don't know how to make it go away or where it is even coming from. Very annoying. I just want to delete it somehow.

And where is your problem ?

You don't find the task, or you have trouble to delete it ?

When you click on the task, a little window opens. In the let corner you find the text "Delete the task". And this is what it does when you click on it.

My issue is I don't need a "add new task" option so often and taking up so much space.
