Encrypted text visible in note preview on home dashboard

I recently noticed that text I encrypted in a note is visible in the preview of the note when it is displayed in the notes widget on the home screen. When I click to open the note the text requires the password to view, but the fact that the protected text is visible in the preview seems to defeat the purpose of encrypting it. Additionally, this bug makes me question whether or not the text is actually encrypted in the actual note. 

Has anyone else run into this? Does anyone at Evernote have any insight?

Hi.  This is a -mainly- user-supported (public) site and Evernote don't deal with individual queries here.  Please report the issue to Support,  and if you can,  we'd be grateful for a note of what they say to you posted back here in case anyone else has the same issue.  Pretty obvious this shouldn't happen,  but you can avoid  the risk by encrypting individual PDF (or other document) files before attaching them to the note.  https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new

@NOLAcycling In security issues I don’t think your fellow users should try to solve a technical mystery.

IMHO you should right away contact support about it.
