rs_saunders 10
The new version of Evernote for windows v10+, that being simply a packaged up version of their web app now, doesn't allow dragging a file or image out of a note and on to the computer. E.g. to the desktop or more importantly, directly into a browser file upload box. This completely ruins my workflow of scanning all my receipts into Evernote, then dragging and dropping them straight into FreeAgent (my accounting web software). Saving each note first to the desktop individually before uploading to FreeAgent just takes too long. This was totally possible before and I have now downloaded the legacy Evernote version, otherwise I won't be able to complete my account reconciliation on time. Is this scheduled to return as a feature of Evernote in v10+? It's the only thing keeping me using Evernote. 3 Link to comment
Mike P 2,824
I agree. This has been raised several times. I can drag an image or file attachment to the desktop but not into another application so it's a massive slow down in my workflow having to do everything via the desktop. Link to comment

Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 3,993 Posted February 29 Level 5 Share Posted February 29 Still no drag and drop, but (weirdly, to me) right-click, Copy, Paste into word process doc does work. Link to comment
