Encryption works for me, but Evernote currently only supports text encryption within notes I've also used the native encryption in file attachments (pdfs, ...) For work, I keep everything local and off the cloud for security. About 50% of my database is work related and are in local notebooks. The current options are impractical for that, but encrypted notebooks would be a viable solution. I was surprised when Evernote reported that local notebooks were a little used feature. That was a key feature for me. I'm aware of that other thread, thanks, and already voted up ... FWIW 3 Link to comment

If they can be hacked, it is only a matter of time until EN's user data is hacked. And EN just took away users' ability to keep their data out of the cloud. I'm staying with EN Legacy until I can find an alternative. 3 Link to comment
