Horace_in_Exile 51 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 I agree that Google Authenticator is a good option in general, but I am trying to consolidate all my 2FA requests on the Last Pass Authenticator. Would you please consider adding this capability?
0 mydogaragon 1 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 While Google Authenticator is a great tool, it lacks the ability to backup all accounts stored within it. I would suggest you allow other MFA/2FA products like MS,DUO, etc. so users have choices based on their needs. 1
0 ExNihilo 26 Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Google Authenticator is not the only app that manages the 2FA codes. There are other compatible OTP apps that permit you to backup your account codes. Don't think that because the QR scan says Google Authenticator that you must only use Google. Fortunately too, as my main phone went belly up last week. But no worries.
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 9,253 Posted September 2, 2019 Level 5 Posted September 2, 2019 Have not checked it recently, but when I did last, there were 2 methods available plus the fallback codes generated when activating 2FA. - For Basic users there was only Google Authenticator available. - For paying users they would as well send one-time-codes by message to a mobile phone. If there are Apps that successfully mimic Google Authenticator I do not know.
0 BizCare 0 Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 Agree Google Authenticator works, for the last few years, but we've moved on to DUO, so our users enjoy password-free sign-ons. Please do the needful
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 9,253 Posted May 17, 2022 Level 5 Posted May 17, 2022 Nobody in the internet will just continue adding new login methods, just because somebody invented yet another. You can use the existing ones, and that is it for the moment. The existing ones work with ANY time based cipher code generator, not only the one from Google. If you want to contact EN PM about an issue, use the feedback function build into the clients.
