KyeMaloy 1 Posted September 20, 2018 Share Posted September 20, 2018 If you have Evernote open and put a window in front of it, and then go into Mission Control, certain panels in the View will do this horrible flickering graphical glitch. It has happened to me on macOS High Sierra and macOS Mojave, and has happened on two different MacBooks so I'm pretty sure it's not my machines fault. I use Mission Control a lot and found it so annoying and distracting that I had to stop using Evernote. I am going back to Uni in a few weeks and downloaded it again hoping it was resolved, but the issue remains (on 7.5 on Mac, also enrolled in beta updates). Is this a known/common bug, and is there anyone working on fixing it ? I attached a link to a quick video showing the bug (its happening in the Notebook selection area, but I've seen it in the whole sidebar too before). (And for the demo vid) I reached out to one of our specialists and they were able to confirm the issue occurs. At this time, we don't have any specifics as to when this will be addressed, but we aware of it, and will work to address it as quickly as we can. Notice what goes on in the second pain of the Evernote window. Oddly, if I switch from "snippet view" to "card view," the problem goes away. Link to comment

The attention to detail is so low at Evernote, with little testing before release. They don't change the old and clunky code but instead make small and often odd UI changes whilst introducing or reintroducing a number of annoying bugs like this, time and time again. Link to comment

That's it, I'm droping evernote, I'm very thankful for trying it out before onboarding a paid subscritption. Lack of willingness to support markdown and poor performance in the app, this included, has annoyed me out of the whole thing. A quick testrun for simplenote has been succesful for anyone interested.
