Search is search, and sort is sort; these are two different processes. You find messages that contain text as the kind folks note above, using the "Intitle :" search term, and this selects a subset of your notes, but sorting determines the order in which the notes you found using search appear in a list. You can usually do that in the various Evernote clients; some more than others. Link to comment
