Timm4130 1
Hi hello, When I open and edit a Word-document attached to a note in Evernote it saves within Evernote itself BUT is it somehow possible that it ALSO changes / edits the ORIGINAL file on my mac also? Thatd be so great and make my Workday so much easier. Thank you guys - Greetings from Germany -Timm Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 11,666 Posted September 13, 2017 Level 5* Share Posted September 13, 2017 Hi. We're a mainly user-supported forum, so hi from Wales. Editing a file attached to a note does NOT change the original file. Best practice would be to delete or archive the file from your Mac once it's attached to a note. Link to comment

Instead of storing a copy of your file in Evernote, you could store a link to the file on your Mac Link to comment
