Delete keyboard shortcut in edit menu

ChicagoJoe

Idea

Edit menu items like Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste, etc all show their shortcuts next to them as shown in the Edit_and_Menubar attachment.
Other apps like Outlook have this shown (which, BTW, uses the same CMD-Delete shortcut that Evernote uses).

Please add this to Evernote.

The ability to add/change/delete keyboard shortcuts is built into macOS!

Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts and Click the Add button on the right. Select Evernote from the dropdown in the dialogue, then input the exact menu command you need and the keyboard shortcut you want.

Would have been even better if I could add the actual Delete button on my keyboard rather than a combination, but at least it works for now. This has been around for ages and is available on the Windows version.

What the heck is wrong here?

AFAIK, this used to work just fine on a Mac...now EN seems to be requiring that we use CMD-Delete instead of just plain Delete. This is a significant move backwards for actual TYPISTS (you know, those people who can actually interface with a computer at something faster than a snails' pace? ) Use of modifier (Shift) keys should be optional for items that have their own dedicated key in the first place----that is the purpose of the key.

Come on Evernote, wake up.

Nothing new here       Come on @bgrossman, wake up

The command delete sequence was implement over a year ago as a response to users who were accidentally deleting notes

And why is that.  Do “actual typists” have trouble pressing combination keystrokes
