Rando 0 Posted February 3, 2016 Share Posted February 3, 2016 I have encrypted a note. When I try to view it (on windows app) I get a padlock next to some boxes. To view the contents all I do is click the boxes and I can see the note, it does not ask me for a passphrase. Is there a setting I missed? It works as it should on my phone app and on the web app. Link to comment
ZeFish 5 Posted February 5, 2016 Share Posted February 5, 2016 I think... it's because you recently open the encryption box and Evernote hope it still you on the computer.. My guess is that there is a timer and after a certain amount of time it will ask you for the passphrase. Link to comment

Rando 0 Posted February 7, 2016 Author Share Posted February 7, 2016 I think I found what it was. It wouldn't ask me for a password even after a day or more. When I restarted my PC and started evernote it did ask me for the passphrase, and it had a checkbox saying "remember until I restart evernote". The checkbox was checked. I unchecked it and it is responding as I thought it should. Even though I had exited evernote many times, it must have been running in the background. Link to comment
