    Feature Request: Markdown Support

I use Day One also and love Markdown. Just started using Ulysses also. Great markdown support in both. Huge gap for Evernote.
  2. I feel on the biggest missing features is native support for Markdown. Please add native Markdown to Evernote.

    Feature Request: Markdown Support

Really need to have Markdown support native. I love using evernote but the formatting of notes needs improvement. Markdown would solve this.

    MANAGING BLOGS WITH EVERNOTE

    until
MANAGING BLOGS WITH EVERNOTE (SUNDAY AT 10:00) Session Description: I use Evernote to manage my blog content and collaborate on posts that I write. I use Evernote for many things but found that it is extremely useful to get feedback from others and manage ideas of blogs by using Evernote. I have a workflow that I follow that starts from ideas and brainstorming to drafting and proofing through editing. I found that many of the people I deal with on my blogs don’t log into the site to help edit through WordPress but went I send a link to a shared note I get more feedback. I have workflow using tags and due dates that I manage with saved searches and also have images in the notes to help move through the process. Takeaways: How to collaborate with others no matter what their technical ability on blog posts. How to use many features of Evernote (Tags, Notebooks, Shared Notes, Saved Search). How to build a community with Evernote to build content. Presenter: Louis Rainaldi This session is part of the PODCAMP Pittsburgh, a two day event. PittsburghPoint Park University (University Center), 414 Wood Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222
  5. I have changed the default action on my Surface Book pen. I am now able to pen Evernote instead of OneNote. I would like to also change the double click of the eraser to start a clipper action using Evernote. I see the EvernoteCipper.exe but not sure if I have to supply any args to make it work. Any ideas?

    Surface Book & Pen Functionality

Sorry for the delay in replying. Open the Surface app on your SurfaceBook and select the edit button on the left menu bar. From there you can scroll down and customize the pen. You will have to navigate to the Evernote.exe. See the screen shot below. I wanted to also change the double clip to use skitch but haven't got it to work.

Suggestion: Encrypt Notebooks, not just notes

I totally agree with you. I use Evernote for journalling also and want to encrypt the whole notebook. There are many other cases where I would like to have an entire notebook encrypted.

    K-12 Evernote vs. OneNote

Sorry for the delay, great posts!!
9. Hello everyone! I maintain a few sites that use Wordpress. I would like to add a "Clip to Evernote" sharing service to my sharing options. I found one but it hasn't been updated in two years. Does anyone use one that they like or recommend how I can build one? Thanks
  10. I would love to see the Windows Client have functionality to work with the Surface Book/ Surface and the Pen. The "Windows App" is really not that great but I use the full Windows client all the time and would love to be able to use the pen like you can with OneNote. I have changed my Surface Book to open Evernote instead of One Note with the click of the eraser already.

    Recurring Reminders

I love this idea but would want it on all platforms. I use Windows, iPhone and Web. I do a lot of my work on the Web version.

    K-12 Evernote vs. OneNote

I have been using Evernote since 2011. Evernote lets you search in pictures for text. I have tried to switch to OneNote because the company I work for uses Office 365, but I find Evernote much more usable. The design of Evernote allows you to concentrate on the information you are taking. You can search across notebooks very easily. I have not tried to extra text from a pic (OCR-Extracting) because I can search within each of the pics that I add as well as PDF, Word, etc (with Premium). I also find that sharing notes and notebooks is much more convenient, the security setup on note / notebook level is clear and easy to manage. Having used both Evernote and OneNote I find Evernote much more valuable and functional. Tagging is another part of Evernote that I think is setup very good. Tags are metadata in Evernote where in OneNote they are just text added to the note. With the use of Reminders, Checkboxes and Shortcuts you can create many different workflows to help through normal day. An example of my workflow is that I have one notebook called "Inbox", this is my default notebook that everything goes to unless I specify a different notebook. I clear this notebook up on a daily basis. I also have shortcuts based on searches that will find notes filtered for work and personal that have unchecked checkboxes and shortcuts that show me notes with specific tags in them. I am working on a blog series of the values and how I use Evernote at rainaldi.org. I hope this is helpful, let me know if you have any questions, I would be more than happy to offer my thoughts.

Google Calendar & Evernote sync - beta

I agree. I had Sunrise and really liked how it integrated with my calendar. I used reminders on my calendar and it is so helpful. I use a mix between Apple calendar for home (family) and Outlook 365 for business. With Sunrise I had both of those calendars integrated and also all notes with reminders on the calendar view. I found it very useful.
  14. I use the Outlook Plugin for Evernote daily. I use it to start a meeting agenda and meeting notes by sending a calendar event to Evernote and start my agenda or notes. I would like to know if there is a way that I can customize the default template that is used? I would like to have a section for Meeting notes that is formatted the way I want. I usually send to Evernote and then end some returns to create space at the top of the note and then change the format so it is not bold like the title of the event, then add bullets and a heading that simply says meeting notes and add an attendees to actually record who is in the meeting. Sometimes I just cross people on the invite in the note that are not present and type in the additional people that may have come without a formal invite. Also add some tags to the note - "Agenda", "Meeting Notes", etc. Any ideas? Is there a template on the system that I can customize?

    Using evernote as a diary

I would really love to see the ability to encrypt or protect a full notebook. I have been moving from DayOne for my journalling and would really like to protect that so I don't leave it available when taking notes for work or other areas.
