I have several jpg and png images that show up just fine on the desktop version of Evernote, but when I view the same note on my Android phone, the images do not not appear. Several of the images are QR codes which I recognize would be of no use on a mobile phone, but there are other images that help with the flow of the note. Do I have to include URL links under the QR codes for this to work on a mobile phone.
I'm using Windows 10 and Evernote 6.25.1.9091 (309091) Public (CE Build ce-62.6.10954)

You are using the legacy version of Windows not Evernote V10. You will need to upgrade for this feature. You can run both versions in parallel but just be carefiul to make sure data syncs to the server between using teh different versions.
MIke can you point me to a post or url that covers Best Practices when using both versions of Evernote? Thanks for the information.

When I insert a url from one of my YouTube videos directly into Evernote and hit the return key I am expecting that I will see an preview image of my video that can then be clicked on to launch the video. I don't get this option. The URL continues to show as a hyperlink
Here's a YouTube video that I was trying to follow. Is this a Mac feature only?

Is there anyway to center the Note Title?
I'm using Windows 10 on the Desktop.

I will look into this option, but I want to keep a copy of the receipt somewhere else. So I will use my sync software to create another folder that copies the files from my expenses folder with a one way sync. It will be interesting to see whether the file is deleted before the sync can happen. I'll figure something out. Thanks for the suggestion.
Just after posting I realized that all I need to do is copy the file to a Temp Folder that Evernote will monitor. After the file is copied from the Temp folder into Evernote it will be deleted. The original file stays in my Expenses folder.

Probably the hint from @gazumped tells what happens: The import folder is revisited (for example when new content is added), and everything is imported again.
Maybe you give the "delete source file" a try, and see whether it solves the problem.

Is this folder used by any other process that might impact "files a day or two later"
For example, one user had Google Sync runningNo this folder is not part of any sync process that I have running. The only thing I do on a daily basis is to do a differential backup of my SSD. I do a complete backup every two weeks.

Can you tell us more about the Import Folder and how files are updated
We have seen this duplicate problem reported before and it seems this was not a standard folder and files were being updated by external processesThis is a folder where I copy my expenses into. I normally PDF the receipt and save it to my expense folder. I then change the tags on the file after it has been copied into Evernote. The way I know that a new version of the file has been copied into my Evernote database is that the new file will not have any tags on it. My folder structure is C:\Users\Myname\Documents\Expenses\2021\

I have selected a folder to be watched by Evernote and it immediately imported the files in the folder that I designated. However, I have noticed that Evernote is periodically re-importing the same files a day or two later which makes me go through my Evernote file to confirm these are duplicates. I then have to delete these files. Do I need to remove previously imported files from the Import folder after they have been imported into Evernote?

Have you tried to scan the document in WITHOUT OCR turned on in the Brother software?

When I add a picture and then click on the Format | Hyperlink option and then add the URL and then save my settings, there is no icon when you hover over the picture. The hyperlink works, but there is no visual cue as to whether the picture is a hyperlink.

The request to increase data privacy is logical, but probably not easy to implement when looking at the EN data structure.
Notes are kept in a database structure, with attachments linked into the note. It is much easier to write a link into a database field than to house differing files in a container called note. In the background the attached files are stored as they are in a directory normally hidden to the user.
Thus the note itself can’t be fully encrypted, because the database needs to read parts of it in order to work. And the attachments can’t be easily encrypted because they rest outside of EN itself. The part that was easy to implement is encrypting plain text content of a note, which is done.
Encrypting part of the notes structure would probably mean to implement a duplicate database that holds the encrypted stuff. And encrypting the attachments could be done by using an encrypted vault containing the sensitive stuff. All that would probably be a moonshot-project for the established code base of EN. A new contender writing encryption into the project plan can implement it with much less effort and backside to the existing stuff.
PInkElephant I recognize that this is hard stuff from an engineering standpoint, but this is being done with other Notebook Applications like Joplin. I am just trying to find out what are the engineering obstacles that are preventing Evernote from implementing Notebook Encryption from an Evernote employee.

Standard security procedure is Evernote can not "recover your authentication password"
Thanks for the clarification.

No indication from Evernote on encrypted notes
In fact, the encryption function has been downgraded to text only>>To decrypt a note all one would have to do is right click on the Note and enter the password for the note and it is moved to a decrypted folder of one's choice.
Interesting idea; I'd probably use a single temporary decrypt folder
Do we need a "password for the note"? I already have an account passwordDTlow, I would prefer to have a different password for my encrypted Notebook or Notes. If I'm not mistaken Evernote can recover your authentication password to log into your account. I don't want this capability for my encrypted notes. If I forget my Master Password for my Notebook or Notes, then that is on me.

I have been test driving Saferoom which is an App that can be used to encrypt one's notes in Evernote and it is a very nice implementation. This product has been available for several years and I'm scratching my head as to why Evernote cannot natively implement something like Saferoom in its program. If they don't want to start from scratch, why not purchase the Saferoom code or hire the key engineers that are responsible for Saferoom's software.
The implementation that I would like to see incorporated into Evernote is to have a Notebook Encryption option where all one would have to do is turn on Encryption for a Notebook and any Note created in this Notebook is encrypted. To decrypt a note all one would have to do is right click on the Note and enter the password for the note and it is moved to a decrypted folder of one's choice. The original stays in the encrypted notebook folder until deleted by the end user. In addition, the end user is the only one who would have the Master Password and would understand that Evernote cannot recover any encrypted notes should you forget your Master Password.
Can someone from Evernote please explain if Notebook or Notes encryption are in the product plan in the near future?

There is nothing within this file that needs to be encrypted as it is currently conceived.

Thanks to all that responded .... bummer that I can't do what I wanted to do, but it appears there are a couple of workarounds. I'll start with a few screen shots and see, if that is enough to get people going. If not I may have to take the route of gazumped's recommendation.

I have an Evernote file that I have created for my Notary Public business and I want to share the structure of this file with other Notaries Public. I want to remove my personal data, but want to keep saved searches and tags and notebooks. Is this possible?

DTLow, I will try what you suggest, but the search is working just fine on my Desktop without the quotes. I'll report back in a moment with your suggestion.
DTLow, I tried the quotes and it doesn't work. I see both notes synchronized on my phone so they are there, and the Tags are there, but the search will not work......
After some sync delay and removing an extra space after the tag: "xxx" to tag:"xxx" things appear to be working. I see both of my test notes after running the appropriate shortcut. Thanks for the syntax help. I will dig into the help file and make sure that I'm not spinning my wheels in the future. What's weird is that the Desktop version doesn't appear to care about the extra space or the Tag / tag syntax.

What is the exact search?
Try tag:"Unpaid Invoices" tag:"Paid Invoices"DTLow, I will try what you suggest, but the search is working just fine on my Desktop without the quotes. I'll report back in a moment with your suggestion.

I have created a tagged search on my Windows 10 Desktop version of Evernote and it works just fine. When I invoke the same saved shortcut on my Android Phone (LG G7), it returns nothing. The saved query is:
Tag: Unpaid Invoices
Tag: Paid Invoices
Paid Invoices and Unpaid Invoices are a saved Tag.

Import folders are available under Windows.
See this Help document for details:
The workflow identified in the link above is exactly what I was looking for. I was able to setup an Import Folder within Evernote which is monitored by Evernote. It is then up to me to move the scanned document to its final destination after review. Thanks for the link.

Per @PinkElephant, create your own scan profiles and use the Evernote import folder process. Then post scan you can go to the corresponding notebook and title, tag and move to the notebook of choice. Personally I have simplex, duplex, separate, and picture profiles. All point to the same import folder.
Where do you specify the Evernote Import folder?

Check the settings of the profile you are using.
You can specify many options there. If you do not want to modify the profile that is preinstalled, you can create a new one.
Yeah, there doesn't appear to be a method to specify the Evernote folder that the scans go to.
