@PinkElephantWasn’t suggesting Evernote give everything away, I’ve been paying for it as long as I can remember. A better solution might be web + 1 device. Feature parity or not I’ve never used web unless I was having an issue with one of the clients

Personally I think it was a bad decision to withdraw the web client from its former status of "client of last resort".
This in combination with no support on Basic accounts can in fact create a lock out. Maybe EN needs to offer a "settings-only" access to make sure devices can always be managed through the web, without access to the accounts notes.
Web should not count as a device… you’re not syncing to it like a computer or mobile device

Not sure to be honest. I’ve only ever used one Gmail account. The addon is associated with your Evernote account so it shouldn’t matter which Gmail account it’s coming from. I have a Gmail and Outlook account that point to my Evernote account

Have you written anything in the body of the note yet?

I don't think there is... the only way I can think of is with the custom email address you get with a Paid account...
On my iPhone if it's something I want to save I just jump over to the Gmail or Outlook app and use the Add-On there

My Email program is Thunderbird. There is a dedicated add-on for Evernote which I use frequently. (It can also be configured to send Emails to One Note). It works without issue but if it did stop working I wouldn't discuss it in the forums since it is a third-party application.
Thunderbird is independent but is the Add-On? The Gmail and Outlook ones are developed by Evernote

I assume that's because it tends to work fairly reliably, but yes I use redirects from my Gmail account into Evernote for some newsletters and important regular emails, the Outlook clipper for the ones that get through but I still want a copy of the emails, and the Gmail clipper for working away. Sending emails I BCC a copy to myself and autoforward those mails to Evernote so I have a running history of any long email threads. One or more of the above will be in use daily.
Sounds very similar to my workflow… and yes it is very stable with the occasional hiccup

Something I don't see mention of much is the email client Add-ons for Evernote... I use the one in Outlook and Gmail daily. I find it's a better way for me as I can add tags, modify the note title, etc before adding the email to my notebook.
It's a key part of my daily use of Evernote as I add important emails to my Daily Note...
Anyone else using these on a regular basis?

As for viewing all local notes it used to be just a folder in the Evernote directory marked Local if I’m not mistaken. Don’t remember as I never used it much and it was just a folder on my desktop when I did.

Two more questions:
How do I view all local notes in v7?
How do I de-localise them? so they become global?
When you say de-localise do you mean in V7 or when upgrading?
If upgrading them you will be prompted to use the tool to convert them into V10

Legacy is going. Not necessarily immediately, but it is not even receiving palliative care. One day it will just stop working and then it will be gone. If it breaks because of an OS update then you are likely to lose the local notes as well. The online notes will still be accessible in V10 but local could go overnight, without warning and not as a direct result of a decision by Evernote to stop the Legacy app.
@agsteeleThe biggest risk to their notes is to leave them in Legacy. Start migrating sooner than later. Even if they don't just drop access to local files, if something does go wrong there's not much hope of support or recovery (I'm guessing)... I'm a bleeding edge beta kinda guy so...

What is the keyboard shortcut? Thanks.
@Reuven I posted the link to all the keyboard shortcuts in one of the messages in this thread. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004807-Keyboard-shortcuts-in-Evernote-for-Windows
Alt + Ctrl + S

To be honest a keyboard shortcut is the easiest way to go. But wait until you get Windows 11. The new OS breaks the screen clipper. At the moment the Evernote clipper fails in Win11. The Windows OS clipper intercepts the Evernote clipper.

Hi, clipped on my Mac.
No discrimination needed - just watch the devs when they code away on their shiny new MacBook Pros.
Motivation is everything … 😎
🤣🤣 Guess I’ll just have to go out and get a Mac then 🤷🏻♂️

@Reuven Ya I’m not sure what the reason is. The option I showed you just opens up the built in Windows clipper, so maybe the other two options are built in to Mac. 🤷♂️

Thanks PinkElephant! How come I only have one of those three icons (the one on the left)?
@Reuven You're not the only one, I have a feeling the 3 boxes are on Mac not Windows

Are you talking about launching the Windows Snipping tool?
So many bugs in iOS are rendering Evernote one of the worst apps in my phone

I can’t honestly remember ever losing a note… duplicates yet but losing one no. Sometimes I’ve had to log out and uninstall as well and that usually fixes sync issues.
I’m convinced most of my sync issues are because I’ll do something on one device and then immediately try and see if it’s synced on another. Having ZERO issues on iOS myself… 🤷🏻♂️
