  1. After some more research I discovered that the "clumsy scrolling" is somehow related to the scroll wheel in my mouse. Scrolling with the two fingers gesture on the touch pad is precise as expected. Again, scrolling in the web application works fine regardless what method I am using.
  2. I confirm that disabling note count improves the scrolling experience. Thank you. My CPU specs are the same as yours. In any case, the issue is not really serious. It struck me when I opened the web interface and was surprised by the responsiveness of the web app (after it loads) comparing to the desktop app. I am a heavy user of Evernote and I am continuously jumping back and forth between the different notebooks so I need to scroll a lot.
  3. I have a feeling for some time already that the scrolling of the left panel in Evernote desktop application (Win10) is somewhat "clumsy". I am struggling to find the right word to describe the behavior. I guess the that term "inertia" best describes it. There is always a noticeable delay when scrolling the left panel with the scroll wheel. The panel seem to be scrolling for a very short while even after I release the wheel. I don't observe this behavior when scrolling the note list or the note itself. The scrolling of all three elements of the EN page in the web interface is precise and acts as I would expect (even in the left panel). Comparison of precise scrolling in the web interface and "clumsiness" in the left panel in the desktop app is the most striking. I am using Logitech MX Anywhere 3 mouse. Is it just me or someone else has noticed it?
  4. I have contacted support and I have answers to my inquiry for those who are interested: #1 - Yes there is currently a limit of 12 widgets on the home page for Professional users. It is a little bit disappointing. Of course, I don't intend to have hundreds of widgets. Nevertheless, only twelve is a little bit low, in my opinion. #2 - Home page synchronization works in a following way: the widgets are synchronized across all platforms. The layout of the home page is synchronized only in desktop and web interfaces. Reordering widgets on your mobile should not affect layout of the home screen in a desktop app. I guess it makes sense.
  5. I would like to have a better understanding how home page exactly works. I have two questions: Is there a limit on number of widgets I can have on the home page? It seems that yes. In my case it is 12. Can you confirm? Is there a plan to eventually increase it? There is an information on your support page: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058119773 that Home screen layout synchronizes across Windows and web interfaces but it shouldn't synchronize with Android. This would be a desired behavior because layout on a small mobile display is different. It seems however that the Home screen synchronizes across all platforms (Android, Web and Windows in my case). How it should work? Unlocking all home screen features was the reason why I recently upgraded my subscription. It would be great if you can share some insight about it. Last but not least, I would like to give you a positive feedback. I really enjoy working with Evernote. It has become even more useful after I have learned some tips and tricks from "Building the Second Brain" book. Thank you.
  6. The performance of 10.29.7 desktop client for Win10 has noticeably improved. Switching various contexts is much faster, opening notes is much quicker as well. I have not made any scientific measurements, nevertheless, the improvement in performance is really noticeable. I like EN10 client and this positive experience has really made my day. I just wanted to share a positive message instead of my usual complaining about issues. I would be interested in a more technical description what kind of improvement has been implemented in the latest version. Although I expect it is probably some "secret of the trade". Thank you for good work.
  7. I have possibly found a workaround. In Thunderbird, if you forward the email "As attachment" then the problem with the strange spacing disappears and the email is perfectly readable when it arrives to Evernote.
  8. Hello, I find synchronization of EN10 on Android rather inefficient comparing to how it had worked before. When visiting some authorities today, I needed to produce a document I had previously stored as a PDF attachment in EN. To my embarrassment, I was unable to do so, because my Android EN was continuously showing an error "Unable to download the document at this time". I have tried several times, but I was not successful. When I checked again an hour later (I was already somewhere else) the document was there! Presumably the Android app was downloading all the changes since I opened it previously and this particular note was at the end of some sync queue. I have noticed several times that if I open EN in my phone after some time it takes really long to sync all the changes since the EN has been previously opened. It is often possible to watch the notes being created/updated/moved. I usually don't care, but today I really needed to share the PDF document quickly. Some points: I understand that if the document is not cached it will not appear immediately. It may take couple of seconds to download a 300k PDF file, maybe even a minute if I am inside some concrete building and the signal is weak. But we are talking about like 10 minutes at least in this case. This particular note with the PDF has been created on a PC a long time ago and I have never accessed it previously from my mobile. I also acknowledge that EN was busy syncing all the changes, I can accept that sync can be slower because of some new features. Nevertheless, the app should prioritize those notes I am working with. I guess there is no quick solution to this. But if my feedback helps to prioritize this issue, it will be great. I had never seen this behavior in the previous versions of EN. The efficiency of sync used to be a very strong feature according to my experience. Regards, Viktor
  9. Hello, I am having issues with formatting of emails forwarded to Evernote. The original email is a simple text with few basic formatting features. When it arrives at Evernote there are spaces randomly scattered across the note with the forwarded email. Of course, I don't expect that EN will handle some fancy Outlook formatting. Nevertheless this issue appears when I send an email with some basic plain text and maybe with few words in bold/italics I am attaching an example - the original email and a screenshot of what has arrived to EN. The red lines show the additional unwanted spaces. This becomes an issue if the forwarded email is long - there are so many random spaces so it is unreadable in EN. The workaround is to copy and paste the text directly from the email client. Thank you in advance for looking into this.
  10. Hello, can you please share with me a use case for "import folders" functionality? I am aware what it does and I also recall it from the 6.x version of EN. I have never used it and I just can't think of any useful usage pattern for me. It seems, however, that it is "the most required feature" and I am wondering what I am missing. You can drag and drop files directly to the notes. Why would I want an import folder which doesn't sync? What are the best practices? Thank you V.
  11. Hello, Can you please extend the "Disable spellcheck" feature to the whole application? In one of my previous posts, I stated that if the new Evernote will come up with the disable spellcheck option, I will upgrade my subscription from Plus to Premium. They did... and I upgraded. But it looks like that I should have waited. It seems that they implemented the "disable spellcheck" switch only half way. It, indeed, works in the main application. Nevertheless, if I open a note in a new window I still see the red lines in notes written in another language than Windows default. I do often open multiple EN windows and the red lines are really disturbing. And the same issue is with the Scratch pad widget (but this is only minor). Can you look into this, please? V.
  12. I promise that if you implement "turn off spellcheck" setting, I will immediately upgrade to Premium (currently on Plus, and usually use only about 20% of my quota every month). Sure, "Add to dictionary" introduced in the latest release, is a useful feature. It certainly helps if you frequently use some jargon words or abbreviations. Still, I am sure there are users like me, who need to capture notes in several languages (three in my case). "Add to dictionary" is not a solution. I give up on having spellcheck in several languages (like in Evernote Legacy), but please, allow us at least to turn the spellchecking off. Thank you
