  1. I doubt that multiple open notes in web client is atypical use @gazumped. Also, it was working find until recently. I've been using the web client intensely for the last 12 months or so. Probably a cache/cookie issue. I've submitted a support ticket.
  2. Web client (10.14.7) user here on Chrome Version 90.0.4430.93 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Fedora 34 Linux. I have a good internet connection - DSL at home. Generally, I like to have several tabs with different notes open at any one time. Recently I find that I get rapid note duplication when I edit a note. If I close all Evernote tabs but one, and work only ion that note, then I don't tend to get any duplication. None of the notes I'm talking about are shared. I'm close to jumping the Evernote ship completely now... it's really getting in the way of me getting my work done.
  3. Has anyone here noticed that this problem has gone away? I have, I'm happy to say. So I can switch back from the Classic editor now (which I'm thankful for as it's pretty poor!). Not sure whether Chrome has updated. I'm on Version 87.0.4280.88 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  4. I've been experiencing this issue for the past few days/week. I use Evernote everyday. I found that switching to the Classic Editor gets around the bug. Linux Ubuntu 20.04 Evernote Web client Chrome 87.0.4280.88 Good luck getting a fix soon.
  5. Having completely cleared Chrome's cache/cookies etc, I found performance was better but it reverted to the same situation after a few edits. Creating a new notebook resulted in a long wait and wasn't effective ultimately. Then I disabled all Chrome extensions and cleared the cache/cookies again. Same resutl. I've since installed Vivaldi browser on my Ubuntu machine and that is working very well: no issues with saved changes or creation of new notebooks. So I suspect this is a bug between Evernote's web app and Chrome. BTW I'm using 84.0.4147.135 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  6. I also am experiencing problems with using web client as of the last few days. Normally I've found any body of text is saved at a satisfactory interval (which negates the need for @gazumped suggestion of installing third party software), and the idea of using a third party word processor to keep notes is farcical. I'll try disabling any Chrome extensions I have, and will completely clear my cache & cookies (although this is really not a good solution...).
  7. Completely agree - it's a pain to have to go to the Notebooks view and click New Notebook, rather than either being able to create a new notebook from within a stack or at least from the + button.
  8. All good ideas @snrmwg it feels like a couple of small changes in this area would make a significant improvement to usability.
  9. @Skystar84 is on the money with this request. More broadly a right click context menu in all areas of the Web UI would be incredibly useful and powerful!
  10. I totally agree, generally, that a right-click context menu would be really useful. I also agree with the OP's sentiment (which I feel is a separate issue) that it's not intuitive to have to go to the top right ... menu to delete a note.
  11. When moving notes and notebooks, if you even momentarily move the cursor over any stack it immediately expands. So while dragging your cursor over the list (while trying to locate the target for your notebook or note), you might open two or three inadvertently. This means you have to scroll all the way past it to find the stack or notebook you want. The inadvertently opened stack(s) then remain open and need to be closed to tidy things up. This would be resolved by adding a very short delay before expanding a stack.
  12. This is a no-brainer! At the moment I add a few 10s of new lines at the bottom of a note which is just barbaric
  13. Completely agree with everyone here, this is a really annoying feature! Please let us skip it...
  14. Thanks all good to know it's not just me. Another day, another Evernote bug! At least there's a convenient workaround for the time being...
  15. I've just worked out an elegant but cumbersome solution to this problem. Instead of pasting the text block, selecting it, and then changing it to a code block, it's easier to create a code block and then paste the textblock into it. Doing it this way doesn't result in those unexpected line breaks. Still interested to hear whether other users are experiencing this problem...
  16. Hi, I'm a windows Evernote (308273) user and have the following happen consistently. If I convert a single or multi line text block to a code block (select text and press ctrl+shift+L or click "Code Block" button on toolbar) the text is converted into a code block with 2 trailing line breaks within the code block. So every time I copy and paste a code block in I have to delete those trailing lines to keep the formatting of my documents neat. Does anyone else experience the same issue? I am copying from Edge or Chrome but even if I 'clean' the text by pasting & copying via Notepad I get the same effect. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening or if there's anything I can do about it?! THANKS
  17. I would prefer it if the first word in the title was capitalised automatically - this would be anyway more consistent across lots of different things e.g. calendar entries, contact names, and most sentences!
  18. Hi, When I create a new note on my android app, the note's title's first letter is not automatically capitalised. Surely it should be?
  19. When I press ctrl-left when the cursor is at the end of the first word in a checkbox item list, instead of proper behaviour of having the cursor jump to the start of that word, it jumps to the start of the last word on the previous checkbox item. Don't know if this is a known bug.
