  1. Well I hope there was more clamour for tasks if they've been focusing on it so much. TBG, It's late and I feel like complaining because I'm frustrated with my current setup so here I am =). And Thanks Pink, I have used the feeback button. I also use a combo of notability (for doc markup) and onenote for general notes. Ultimately I may end up adding evernote back into my work flow for purely text based, non-password-protection-needed info. And yes there is probably a better use for tasks in notes, I really haven't given it the time. If I end up adding evernote into my work flow I'll certainly play with it more.
  2. I admit I have not used the task features in evernote. Why? I had been a loyal user since 2008. Evernote was for storing... notes. I haven't been a subscriber in over a year and have sadly moved to onenote. I still miss things from evernote, but the handwriting experience is appalling. I often check to see what evernote is up to and all I seem to see is tasks tasks tasks. What happened to evernote? Why is a NOTE taking app focusing on TASKS? We have task apps for that. I'm really curious why evernote has focused so much on this... were people asking for a todo app in evernote more than a better handwriting experience? We're in 2022. And yes, HTML can support this. Tablets with pencils are here to stay, and tons of people will not use evernote because of this. I would love to have a reason to honestly give evernote my money again. Please focus on note taking and improve the experience for those of us who use tablets. Also please add password protection/encryption to notebooks not just the entire app.
  3. YES. Sketch / apple pencil experience absolutely blows. I get evernote started as text/html based, but that's not an excuse. It's 2022 and we've been able to do these kinds of things in html for a while. One Note's web app supports this. Get with the times evernote! I was a loyal user for over a decade until using my ipad and I've been forced to switch to other apps altogether, and no longer a subscriber.
  4. YES WHY DOES THIS NOT WORK!? Why does apple pencil support absolutely drag? The experience is horrible. How can everNOTE not support this kind of note well in 2022.
  5. UPDATE: if I delete the app on my ipad and reinstall it fixes the issue. I don't even have to click the checkbox, I just close it and the note's still there as it should be. Definitely a horrible issue. I'm afraid to keep using it as it's entirely unclear what the hell caused this or if it'll happen again and I'll lose all my work.
  6. I'll usually leave it open, but this has been happening regardless. I've been testing closing/opening and it doesn't save anything, whereas it does on my iphone.
  7. I just created a new post on this as well. I lost a bunch of work yesterday after not being able to find a note and realized creating/editing doesn't even work. Evernote is totally useless on my ipad, of which is my only real device as I just got rid of my mac.
  8. This is very weird. I'm on 10.2 on iphone and ipad (iPadOS 14.2, 12.9" 3rd gen). If I create a note real quick, then close the app (even after clicking the checkbox which hopefully it would save regardless)... on my ipad I open back up and the note is gone. I noticed this after I made a long list earlier in the day, then wasn't able to find it anywhere, not in the trash or all notes. I tested many times creating notes, then moving around a bit then closing and reopining. None save on my ipad. They save fine on my ios. Has anyone else experienced this? This is.. quite bad.
  9. Where the hell is Evernote on this? Have they responded to any of these posts asking for drawing integration?
  10. Just posted asking if evernote will ever add this or if it's on their roadmap. Drawing needs to be integrated for this to be a good user experience. I really hope this gets done sometime! I love marking up docs in notability as well. I will say however I LOVE Flow's UI/gestures.. if only they didn't lock you to a horizontal canvas and allowed you to upload images/docs.
  11. I've been a pretty loytal evernote user for a decade. Most of my thoughts, journaling, planning, writing, etc, go into evernote. But increasingly, I like taking notes and writing on my ipad with the pencil and marking up pdfs etc with Notability (or I may contemplate good notes). If I could start really organizing things, using tags etc, I'd perhaps exclusively move to an app like these, since handwriting/drawing has become such a huge part of my digital life now. The experience on ipad with apple pencil with evernote is mediocre. Drawing a one page "sketch" is a horrible experience if I really want to take legitimate notes like this. Using apps like penultimate or exporting to evernote is cumbersome and is too much overhead. I'd rather keep notes in a app that does them well. I'm sad evernote dropped the ball on this and hasn't upped their game in this area. Will they ever do it? Is it even on the roadmap? Evernote is slowly becoming less and less a part of my daily life, but I wish that wasn't the case. I really believe Evernote will become less and less relevant if it doesn't solve this problem soon. By the way. I would be happy to pay extra for this feature. I also know that technically it may be difficult given Evernote notes are html, which makes integrating drawing awkward. This is likely why drawing right now consists of sticking an image in a note. I'd be happy with a compromise: i.e. canvas/drawing/pdf notes, or purely text/html notes.. or something like only drawing / handwriting with text on new notes and old html notes only have sketches.
