  1. I just converted to Notion from Evernote and love it. There's a couple of features that I miss like being able to send it an email and it has features like nested and nested pages that make it better.
  2. It's a lot harder than that to bring two different market segments and product sets together without diluting one.
  3. I guess my worry is that the companies do not seem very well aligned. Bending Spoons makes high end video and AI products which aren't very aligned. I worked in this M&A world a bit and the best acquisitions are the ones that are natural fits -- ones where the products of one company compliment the other. While conglomerates like Berkshire Hathaway can make random things work together, companies that make things need to merge with companies that make similar or complementary things. While there are cases you can think of where they complement (like AI in evernote), you have to stretch a bit to see it.
  4. I did and it seems to be better now. Thanks. I used the chat function which I have always had good luck with.
  5. It's been for roughly the past 5 days this slowness and trouble logging in has happened. Nothing else changed on my machine. Chrome and ChromeOS has not updated in several weeks.
  6. Wow -- I never would have thought of that. Duh, I've done that several times, tried incognito, tried a different browser, checked my network connection and diagnostics.
  7. Thanks agsteele -- I opened a ticket.
  8. I was on a Chromebook and using the local app. It looks to me that while I'm editing the note, a save occurs and when I continue to edit the note, the not duplicates. AGSTEELE -- how do I open a ticket?
  9. I am having this problem with the ChromeOS version. Whenever I edit a note on the chromeOS version (which was recently upgraded), I get a duplicate note. I am not editing on two devices or two sessions on the same laptop. Anyone else?
  10. So do you have to switch between the linux partition and chrome OS to use it? How does one install it?
  11. I love my chromebook but don't love the android app running on it. I use the website normally and would prefer an app tailored for Chrome OS. Even if it was a just a decent PWA that would be better. Google Keep has a good PWA that runs on Chrome? Thanks
  12. I use the web version too. What I don't like about it is the login takes forever and I'm logged out if I walk away for 3 minutes. Plus, there are times when I'm disconnected and would like to use the client version when I'm disconnected.
  13. please create a real chromebook client version. The android client is terrible on chromebooks and the web client, while good, is a web client. Given what evernote is, I'd really like a local runtime.
  14. I'm on a PixelBook and the evernote local client is really terrible. i've been using the web client mostly but the login takes forever. is there an other solution for Chromebooks? I'm a big Pixelbook fan and don't want to switch. mav
  15. This is what I have been doing as well. I really thought they would take it to the next level and create an online editor that lets someone share and edit the note but not require you to sign into evernote in a traditional way. This is kind of a big deal because it makes we evernote users are an island.
  16. So how does everyone do this today? All I can figure out is to print to pdf and then email the PDF which is very clumbsy. Any other ideas appreciated. I've been on the fence about moving everything to Keep awaiting the new version simply because sharing was is so much easier in KEEP. Now that this feature has gotten worse in the new evernote, I'm giving it serious thought. I have thousands of notes in my evernote and the pain of moving them will be significant.
  17. I use the email to evernote feature and the webclipper feature all the time. In recent versions, evernote attempts to automatically file the new note in a specific notebook. This engine is almost always wrong. In Webclipper I can change it before its sent but in email, I can't (unless I put the notation in the subject line). I always end up having to search for notes as the never end up in the right place. Is there a way to turn this feature off and just have all the notes go to my default? Or is there a way to reset the algorithm so i can attempt to retrain it. Right now its a mess.
  18. the workaround above makes no sense. Why doesn't the ink note get scanned when synced? I use evernote inknote all the time for me handwritten notes in meetings and such. I would very much like this feature of having them OCR scanned.
