Did you raise a support ticket - I have just found that Evernote is the culprit in this action as well.

@david_woznyorg Even if you accidentally delete a notebook, all content (not the notebook itself) goes to the trash. You can create a new notebook, select the notes from the deleted one in the trash and move them into the new notebook.
Just don’t empty the trash !
Thank you @PinkElephant. I, too, didn't realise about the trash! Now I'm banging my head against the table because that was so obvious. Right, I think I may now be secure enough in my feelings towards "new Evernote" to actually give v10 a good shot.

@Peter Olins - that is so helpful to know. Thank you.

I was trying to print an email (from apple mail app on Mac) to Evernote. I restarted mail - no difference with the specific email. I restarted Evernote - no difference with the specific mail. Then I restarted the computer - still could not print out that specific mail to Evernote. What I then did was forward the mail to Evernote (which did work), wrote my first message above, and then tried to print a DIFFERENT email to Evernote - and that worked.

And... of course... as soon as I wrote that reply I tried the print function on another email - and BOOM! It worked as it did before. Annoying for sure.

Yeah, I still have "Save PDF to Evernote" in the MacOS Print Dialog and I am sure it used to work... but same as @Brian Batchelder - nothing ends up in Evernote.

Jeanmiele, I know your feeling about not being able to export your notes from the latest version of the app (with the limit of only being able to export 100 items at a time). However, if you download and install the Evernote Legacy app (which still works a little bit on my Mac) you will find that you can export all your note again as one export, or (and I did it this way on my Mac) by exporting each individual Notebook.
