MacBook Air (M1) Lates macOS. EN version 10.59.5 Worked hours yesterday on a note. Came back later and 95% was gone. I had to back several history versions to find an old one. Ended up having to re-write 80% of my speech. NOT GOOD! This is so basic. FORGET AI - Work on the basics. I can work on a Google Doc and it synches to their cloud ever few seconds. I've NEVER lost content in Google docs. PLEASE FIX

Is the iOS for the new synch available in the App Store? -
I might have the same planning steps for routine projects. Or I might have several items in my weekly review note. This is more than a simple recurring "Task". A recurring (scheduled) NOTE may have multiple steps or just multiple items I need to review routinely. HOW? Allow a NOTE TEMPLATE to be scheduled like a routine task. Weekly? Let me pick the days. (eg Weekly on Mon, Wed) Or, Monthly on the "xx" day of the month. Or maybe daily. Then add a "time" of day trigger that template to be created on that routine day. Let's do this!
-
Allow a Template to be automatically created. - Give an option when setting up a template to auto generate that to a new note - on a schedule similar to a recurring task with a time. For example - Generate Template "A" into a note on Mon, Wed, Fri at 7:00pm But this other template "B" Generate into a note on Tue, Thu at 6:00pm Other template can ignore that option

I'd like to start a "Project" note. BUT I'd like to have a (Mem like; Notion like) easy method to start my sub-notes for the project from WITHIN that initial "Master Note". Then I can go back to that Master note and click and work on any of the subnotes. Then I don't have to search for all the subnotes. If I'm on a subnote, I can return to the master note its connected to. Yeah I tag all those, but its a pain to do a tag) search and then scroll for the one I want. Yeah I can copy the note links back to the Masternote. But that's a bunch of manual work. Yuk LET'S DO THIS!! Mem and Notion do this.

Links within notes
Wichita State Shocker replied to soralsokal's question in General Feature Requests
Competitors (Notion, Mem, Craft, and more) all can drill down to and link notes from within a blank screen. Top down. In EN I may have a "Project" note that links to other notes about the project. BUT its backwards and tedious. I have to manually copy the subnote link, go back and paste it into my masternote for that project. In the competitor, they can start from the "Project" note and even create a subnote on the fly. I really dont' want to switch but that is VERY attractive. For example - suppose I'm going to teach a lesson. I want to start at the top and create my key points. I'd like to drill down from there and create the content for each of those key points. In EN. I create my "Master" note. Then manually create the subpoints and manually paste the links into the masternote. Is there a better way to do this in EN? -

I've updated a note on my iPhone. A half hour later I see an error (from another device) and correct it. BOOM. I've got two versions. iOS syncs just don't work well! Syncs on Google Docs work in seconds. Why can't EN work in minutes?? -

How do you know when the note has finally and fully synched? This feels like I have to babysit the process. -

I too am having severe note synching issues. It can be a note I've opened on one device (iPhone) then opened on another device (iPad) to correct the note. I go back later and the warning pops up that I have "Another version of that note" I have the latest revs of iOS and the latest revs of EN all running and up to date. I used Google docs. I've NEVER seen that warning from Google docs. It save my changes VERY quickly Is there any way to PREVENT this ??? -
Hey Evernote, Please allow me to create a Template WITH specific TAGS. Then when I choose a certain Template, the tags are already there. Thanks Shocker Fan

Note conflicts on unshared notes (Only edited on 1 device)
Wichita State Shocker replied to kcor's question in General Technical Issues
Shane, Do we need to log out of all devices and have only one open at a time? I used Windows EN at work and MAC EN at home. I thought notes synced quick like you see in Google docs. I used to assume if I made a note change on one device that it would update that note when I viewed it on another device. IS THAT TRUE? -
I've used Evernote for years. Before ver 10 I rarely ever got this message. Then after ver 10 a few months ago I have frequently seen this message. Could it be a syncing issue with Evernote? Last night I was watching Carl Pullein's video on Journaling with Evernote and this message pops up. Eg. Last light I updated a note on my Windows PC at work. All the while Evernote is open on my Mac PC at home. This morning I tried to update that note at home on my Mac and the message pops up that "We found another version of this note". WHY didn't Evernote update on my Mac at home? Can I prevent this? Thanks

Certain tasks occur on a regular basis and can't afford to forget them. Examples - Every 1st day of the month - Every last day of the month - The 15th of every month. - Every Saturday If TASKS are going to rise above the primitive (Kindergarten level), then recurring tasks are required. If EN wants uses to stay in the EN "world" and not jump out to a "Tasks Manager" (eg.Todoist) Then give it some maturity. ** When recurring tasks are implemented, then recurring reminders are needed and they should be independent of recurring tasks. Low-level tasks just need a reminder but they don't rise to the level needing to be "checked off" every day. For example. "Work out at the gym". I just need a reminder. But, its not so big that I need to actually check it off every day. To set that up, let me create a task with no date and a recurring "reminder". Thanks Rick And Go - Wichita State Shockers

have a Mac (latest OS) I have EN for Mac 10.17.6 Suppose I have notes tagged "West". I have a saved search for that. I also have notes tagged "East". I have a saved search for that. (both are in my shortcuts) I click the shortcut for "West" and if displays those notes. Then I click the shortcut for "East". It does NOT find those notes. It appears to be searching for notes tagged "East" within the list of the West notes and it comes up empty. ie It does not start from scratch with clicking the second search. When I clear and clear my notebook or all notes, then click "East" it finds them. This looks to be a flaw. Is it ? Or is that the way it was designed? Rick
