Modify what you see in the left panel

I'd like to be able to modify what we see on the left hand panel in Windows. Currently we see Shortcuts, Notebooks, Tags, Saved Search, Trash. I want to clean this up and only see Shortcuts.

You can compress the listings for each topic by clicking the small arrow to the left of the topic descriptors. That seems to satisfy the majority of users.

Regarding your specific use case (see only shortcuts) - that cannot be done.

Even though I have 30,000+ notes and a ton of tags, I seldom use the Left Column. I keep it hidden with the F10 toggle. This maximizes the information in the two other columns where my content is stored. I use the popup Ctrl Q window for Recent and Saved Searches.
