alexdd 0
I am having a problem using searches with tags. I've watched videos, googled stuff, but can't seem to wrap my head around it. Say I am looking for the word "wrench" but I don't want to look in the tags marked "auto" and "bike". How would I write this in the search field? -tag:auto -tag:bike wrench Thanks Link to comment

Level 5* CalS 5,131 Posted October 29, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted October 29, 2015 You appear to have the right search expression. Depending upon your context (see the magnifying glass next to the search bar), the above search should return all notes containing the word wrench that aren't tagged with either auto or bike. What is wrong with your search results? Link to comment
alexdd 0
I guess that is working now. Can I do the same thing with notebooks? That is, can I exclude notebooks too? Link to comment
Level 5* CalS 5,131 Posted October 29, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted October 29, 2015 Not really. The only way to control which notebooks are included in a search is to use stacks. Then any notes in notebooks NOT in a selected stack won't be a part of the search context. But no individual notebook exclusion. Link to comment
