batch import content of Word docs

anyone know of a way to do this?  

 

i have thousands of Word docs

not possible to import them one at a time

 

i would use Evernote 2-3x more if i had all my docs 

in Evernote folders

You can do this using AppleScript, either write your own, or use:

Evernote Mac Import Folder Using AppleScript from Veritrope.com

thanks -- does this import the content of the document or just a link to the doc?  i need the content imported

The Veritrope script creates a new Note with the file attached (not a link).

If you want the contents of the file, instead of the file itself, you could modify the script to do so.

 

But I'd suggest trying the attached file approach first, since EN Mac will both search the MS Office docs, and can optionally display them inline in the Note.

The Evernote Windows platform has an import folder feature; all you need to do is drag the files to the folder.
You may want to set up a special folder so you can tailor the settings.
