W411 2
Thanks, maybe I should also open another thread about how a search in the forums for the phrase read-only doesn't return a post that clearly has the exact phrase in the title? Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,331 Posted August 18, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted August 18, 2014 I found it with a search - maybe it was the hyphen. Link to comment
W411 2
I used a hyphen also: http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c2jF3OnMCb Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,331 Posted August 18, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted August 18, 2014 I used "read only access".. Link to comment
W411 2
apparently the issue is you can't select "forums" as the search filter . . . it seems to exclude that thread somehow Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,331 Posted August 18, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted August 18, 2014 Ah - the search box defaults to searching the forum posts; so just "read only access" and hit the green button to proceed. I think the Forums filter is for Forum Titles, not post contents. Maybe that could be clearer... Link to comment
Level 5* jefito 5,586 Posted August 19, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted August 19, 2014 If you want to search the Evernote forums, then don't bother with the filters, just use the default ("Google Site Search"). Both "read-only access" and "read only access" found the topic in question, both in its top two results. Link to comment
W411 2
I will use the default from now on, just didn't want anyone to think I just posted without searching first. Thanks for the quick answers. Link to comment
