robtomberlin 0 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 When I share Web pages to Evernote I get the link only. Is this supposed to happen? Can I save/share the page itself? Should I do something different. I'm sharing to Evernote via my Samsung galaxy note 3 mobile phone.
steelbender 9 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 What operating system are you using? What EN client? Most windows browsers have a "web clipper" that will save whole web pages or articles.
robtomberlin 0 Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 Thanks... I'm clipping from my phone. Samsung OS I guess... I use Web clipper on my computer. I don't know what an EN client is.

steelbender 9 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Some android browsers have web clipper too. I use the "dolphin" browser. The web clipper for dolphin is an add on that can be downloaded from the playstore.
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted July 24, 2014 Level 5* Posted July 24, 2014 The Android Evernote web clipper (Share / Evernote) can clip whole web pages, at least the latest beta (5.9 Beta 6) can.
steelbender 9 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 When I Share a page (using an android tablet) with evernote, it goes straight to a new note with the http link in it. I don't have an option to clip the page like I do in windows. Maybe on a newer tablet?
Level 5* gazumped 12,224 Posted July 24, 2014 Level 5* Posted July 24, 2014 Don't know whether it's Android version related or Evernote version related, but at some point clips were showing just the URL, not the content. As @Jefito says, the latest Beta version has reverted to full or selected content. I'd suggest you check to make sure you're using the latest Evernote version, and if you don't get web pages at present, wait for the beta to get to a release version, or join the beta stream. If you're stuck with URLs only for a while, its relatively easy to use the desktop version and re-clip those pages will full content. Some non-Evernote apps will clip full pages - but then you have to learn to use a different browser and/ or clipper...

There are also 3rd-party solutions; check the Play Store.
