Yes, this is an appropriate place to submit a suggestion. 

 

I don't have access to the Windows version at the moment but on the Mac version, there is a Save option under the File menu, short cut cmd-S. Is there not a similar command in the Windows version?

Nope,  no SAVE button,  just a  mysterious 'tick' mark that fades in and out with a blue circling 'in progress' and a brief faint blue 'saved' to confirm something happened.  It could be a little more definitive...

Notes are autosaved after (by default) 30ms of inactivity I believe. You can also use Ctrl + S if you feel the need, as it does save. I know that I find myself doing hitting that combination out of habit.
