How do I use Evernote Markup to resize/shrink an image?

I am using the new Evernote 5.2 beta 1 on Windows 7.

 

Everytime time I use the resize handles in Markup, it simply crops my image. I want to *shrink* the image. How can I do this?

Lower left, change from crop to resize.

It is usually easier to post in the relevant beta thread.

BnF would be right, assuming we were discussing skitch.

Though it seems that the Markup included in the current Windows Beta doesn't allow for resizing currently. At least I see no option when using the crop tool.

Hopefully it will be added in again.
