Excel Mac & Microsoft

Idea

Hi,

I use both a Mac & PC. When i create a file in Microsoft Excel and then later try to edit it in Apple Excel it wont allow me open the file without saving it to another location first, making changes and then copying back to evernote again. Im using basic Evernote and not evernote pro.

Is this normal and how can i get around it?

Hi - welcome to the forums.  Is there a major problem in saving the file elsewhere before editing?  It's not been my experience that Excel requires this,  but it may be an initial function of opening a PC file in Apple Excel.  Some of us here don't save files to Evernote if they will require further editing - that just uses up your upload limit;  it may be easier to save the file in DropBox (you can save a shortcut to the file in Evernote) until it's complete,  then archive in Evernote directly.
