bymannan 0 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Hi,With the premium feature, is it possible to just drag and sync an entire folder (under 25MB)?Thanks.
engberg 89 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Not directly, although you could right-click on the folder to make a ZIP of it first, and then drag the ZIP into Evernote.
rowanrook 1 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Yes, I have done this for a few folders. However, I can see value in allowing an unzipped folder in a Note. For instance, this would allow using Firefox Portable. The history, bookmarks, settings, extensions, etc would then be synchronized between computers. In essence, Evernote would become a real Web OS. This was in fact the first thing I thought about when I learned of the file synchronization feature, and I was disappointed to realize only zipped folders would work. Yes, I could unzip and rezip FF Portable, but that's clunky. I know Foxmarks will sync bookmarks, but am not aware of anything that syncs extensions and settings.
heather 604 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 We indirectly support "package" files as folders on the Mac, but there is nothing similar on Windows.
dan7000 26 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 rowanrook,For file and folder sync, you might be better off using a tool dedicated to that task. I use Dropbox (getdropbox.com). It seems like it would support what you want to do with Firefox.
