jenarloa 0
Hi, new here and I want to use EN for lesson plans when I student teach. I want to make lesson plans and attach my reflection to each lesson plan without altering the original plan. So I am wondering if I can attach a note with my reflection to my lesson plan note and if so how? Thanks!Jen Link to comment
deanouellette 23
Not exactly sure what you are looking to do exactly. If you have one note and looking to be able to get to it with one click you can do note linking. So if I am understanding you correctly you can have the lesson plan note, have a separate note that has your reflections, then create a link from one to the other.Or if you want them both in one note you can do a note merge, but that will alter the original note. jenarloa 0
Thank you, this helps I was trying to figure out this on my tablet. I think that was the problem, since you cant link notes from a mobile device. Tags are a good idea too, thanks for the help! Link to comment

As a workaround for the lack of note links on the iPad, I use random character strings. You just copy and paste them into related notes (for example, everything related to a class) and then create a saved search with that random character string in the search. This will filter the notes to show just those. See this page for more: http://www.princeton...ganization.html It is rather similar to how tags work. It has its pros and cons, but one of the benefits (for me) is that I don't have to agonize over lists of tags. As long as I can find one note in the cluster, I can find them all, because I have pasted the character string at the bottom. You can see how this looks on templates I posted as well: http://www.princeton.edu/~cmayo/template.html Link to comment
