oumu 0
I have "Hiragino Sans GB W3 (冬青黑体简体中文)" installed on my computer, but I can't find it, as well as some other fonts I installed, in the font list of Evernote editor. I'm using Windows 7 SP1 ×64. Any ideas please? Thanks. Link to comment
lawvol 8
I know that some open fonts routinely do not show up in a wide variety of programs. That may be your issue. Link to comment
Level 5* GrumpyMonkey 4,316 Posted January 27, 2012 Level 5* Share Posted January 27, 2012 same thing on the mac. Link to comment
oumu 0
I test several OpenType fonts with PostScript Outlines, just like "Hiragino Sans GB W3". They are all not available in Evernote. So do the Raster fonts. Newly installed Truetypes are all good except Evernote need a restart to show them in the font drop-down list.Any workaround please? Link to comment
Level 5* GrumpyMonkey 4,316 Posted January 29, 2012 Level 5* Share Posted January 29, 2012 set up your account in the preferences to display with the font that you would like to use. this means that everything will be in that font, whether you want that or not. i have done this in the past in order to use helvetica on the mac. While Miscrosoft Word can display with .otf properly, so could Evernote, maybe in future updates. Link to comment
lawvol 8
I have never fully understood the reasons why, but some open fonts simply won't work with many programs. Adobe Creative Suite refuses to work with severAl of mine. Link to comment
chinchih 0
Is there any update from Evernote support regarding the issue of some fonts not showing in the font dropdown (account option or per-note)? I purchased some "premium fonts" (http://www.macappware.com/premiumfontfamilies.html), but none of them show up in Evernote. These installed fonts work with Thunderbird, UltraEdit and all Microsoft Office app. Link to comment
tRav525 7
There hasn't been an update to this thread in a long time... not sure if the issue was moved elsewhere or just forgotten about, but the problem with openfonts missing from the Font Options dropdown is still alive and well. Does anyone know if Evernote is addressing this? Link to comment
Evernote Employee dconnet 529 Posted February 23, 2015 Evernote Employee Share Posted February 23, 2015 Currently, only Truetype fonts are supported. Not all OpenType fonts are TrueType. The current beta (5.8.4) has relaxed that so we only exclude raster based fonts now. Link to comment
tRav525 7
Thank you for the reply, dconnet. I just updated to that beta version this morning, so I tested it out and it works... thank you! Link to comment
