(Archived) Save to Evernote from Browser

Idea

Hello all,

Apologies if this was already posted in the forum, I did a quick search and couldn't find someone talking about this.

I was curious if it was possible to automatically download a file from a webpage into your Evernote account.

Basically let's say I found a PDF on a website that I would like in my Evernote account. It would be great to click on the link to this pdf (or the pdf itself) and select to save it right to my Evernote account.

At the moment you have to download the file, then drag it over to the Evernote application.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thank you as always!

-Ethan

With the pdf open in your browser window, in Safari I can click on the Evernote icon and select Paste to Evernote. Or you can right-click on the link for a pdf file and select download linked file. Once it downloads, right-click and ask to show it in finder. Then you can either drag it to an open note or right-click and ask it to open with Evernote.
