(Archived) "cannot clip this entire page"

Hi, I cannot get Evernote for Mac (in Chrome 12.0.742) to clip a particular page, nor a selection on that page:

Trying to clip the page gives: "sorry, evernote cannot clip this entire page. please select the portion you wish to clip"

Trying to select a portion of text, and then clicking on the evernote chrome helper, will not give a "clip selection" option.

Ideas?

Hmm...I am unable to clip it either (Chrome 13.0.782.24 beta on Mac).

In general, to clip a selection you can select the text, then right-click on the text, "Clip to Evernote", "Clip Selection".

However, in this case, I am getting the same "Sorry, Evernote cannot clip this entire page. Please select the portion you wish to clip." even when I click "Clip Selection".

I'd say this is worth filing a bug report.

In the meantime you may have to try Safari or just copy and paste the text.

Does they same thing on my iPhone using the safari and the "unofficial" bookmarklet.

Even Read It Later had trouble. Maybe it's protected.

I got a similar message when using the Firefox clipper (sending it to the web version).

When I clip it on a machine with EN installed, and sending it to the desktop version it gets clipped properly.
