Evernote not opening on Mac

Today Evernote unexpectedly quit, and would not open again - the app became unresponsive and still would not open after a restart. I downloaded the newest version of Evernote just now and even that will not open- when I double click on the icon nothing happens- my system says the app is open, but there are no windows visible and Evernote is not shown in the top menu bar. Grateful for advice (running macOS Sonoma 14.4.)

Try uninstalling what you have with AppCleaner and reinstall?
