Level 5 jcnassoc 55 Posted March 24, 2024 Level 5 Posted March 24, 2024 Ok, I give up: When am I supposed to use App v. Web Links? It can't possibly be that I need to select one or the other based on a guess whether I'll be clicking on the link from the EN app v. a browser. Forget for now that the links don't (for me and others) seem to work (they bring me back to the Home display in the Windows EN App), which do I choose just to get a link so I can jump from one EN to another the way I always did in legacy? TIA

TIA Option 1: Open the link wherever you are using Evernote, whether in the app or on the web Option 2: Always open the link on the web. 2
Level 5 jcnassoc 55 Posted March 24, 2024 Author Level 5 Posted March 24, 2024 Awesome. Thank you for the clarification. Hopefully they will address the bug that sends us to the home screen instead soon.
Cristiano478 319 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 I'm using version 10.100 and I noticed that there is no longer a difference between the app link and the web link. Everything has been unified into one option.

Everything has been unified into one option. You can still grab an app link using the shortcut ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+C... gold medal finger gymnastics! You can map the shortcut to other keys. Doesn't work in 10.100.1 but it does in 10.100.3. 2
Markburg 1 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Is there a way to create a link to a note that opens in the desktop app instead of the web app (and on a Mac)? It used to give an option of which kind of link to create ( I think it said "web link or app link"), but now it only seems to create web links. Thanks!

It's now only available as a keyboard shortcut so will be available on the desktop app but not on the web app. On Windows it is so you will need to find the corresponding link on Mac

Using the Mac desktop app, the keyboard shortcut to create an internal link is ⌥⌘C. Using the Mac desktop app, you can also create an internal link by dragging a note (from a list of notes) into another note 1
Finnnnn 0 Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Use ⌥⌘C on Mac for app links. drag notes to link them. These help since the choice for app or web links is gone
